We are happy to announce two important initiatives of the PHFI Placement Cell. They are related to ‘Career Development in Public Health’ and ‘Public Health Career Website’. Following are the details of these initiatives.

1. eCourse on Career Development in Public Health (eCDIPH): It’s a 4-month eCourse, focusing on employment search related skills in public health. The course has lectures from experts working in public health and provides guidance to public health aspirants/ students/ professionals to explore career opportunities in public health and acquire necessary skills to succeed in it. By the end of the course, the participants will be able to develop a broad understanding of various career opportunities; skill sets required for these opportunities; prepare a career development plan, resume, and cover letter; prepare for interviews; plan to move towards entrepreneurship etc and make an informed career decision.

The course fee is nominal, and we also offer discounted fee for students and bulk student nominations from institutes.  We request you to motivate your students to enroll for this “eCourse on Career Development in Public Health”. This will certainly help them to initiate and advance their public health career in a right direction.

2. 2.Public Health Career Website:  www.publichealthcareer.org : The website is designed and developed keeping in mind the job search needs of public health professionals. At present, in India, there is no dedicated website catering exclusively to public health jobs and thus it becomes a challenge for public health professionals, aspirants and students to search for available vacancies on a single platform. Keeping this in mind, the PHFI placement cell has designed this website, which brings the public health employers and job seekers on a common platform.

The website is user friendly and job seekers can easily search for various opportunities, including- Jobs/ Internships/ Freelancing opportunities/ Fellowships/ PhD/ International jobs etc. There is also a provision of job search as per experience level and the job seekers can look for opportunities as per entry level/ junior level/ mid level/ senior level positions, using the filters on website. Apart from this, the Find Opportunities section on the website helps to look for jobs based upon location/ category or interest area and also using keyword search.

We request you to, kindly share details of these two initiatives amongst your network of public health students/ aspirants/ professionals/ organization staff / public health employers etc. for a wider dissemination.  Flyers for both initiatives are attached in the email, which can be also displayed on your institute notice board.
